So it is election day! Lance actually went and early voted last week, but I was in Scottsdale on business all week, and did not get that chance. So I got up at 5:00 am today and got ready early so that Leigh-Ann and I could be at the polls when they opened! I explained to her that we were going to VOTE for the President of the United States of America. Once I explained that we lived in America, she was excited to repeat all the information! Hee hee hee. I really feel passionate about this election! It is a history making event, no matter who gets elected! Between the VP and President, there will be a minority, no matter who gets elected. I never thought this day was so close! I assumed I would see it in my lifetime...but I did not realize we were ready for it now! And I want my children to know that it is important to be involved in your community, your society. I want to know that this is a part of living in America. A very special opportunity to live in a society that allows them the right to participate in the process. There are many countries still today that it is not the case. So for Leigh-Ann's scrapbook, I took her to the polls. She will always have a rememberance of where she was on this election! And she will know I thought it was important for her to go! I planned for all of us to go together, but I could not manage Landon alone with Leigh-Ann. So see below for our first blog pictures!!!
Our official polling location in Precinct 14 in Plano, TX.
She is soooo excited to "vote"!
Here she is with today's Dallas News! Noting that we are living in Dallas, Texas (well actually Plano) and it has the headline. I intend for her and Landon to get tomorrow's paper with the headline of whoever is the winner!
